We are so excited to introduce you to PLAYA, our second summer drop and a true nod to sunshine and color.
If Havana was bold and moody, Playa is her bright and carefree sister. We designed this collection to capture the feeling of summer adventures—those spontaneous beach trips, sun-drenched days, and colorful memories made with your favorite people.
During one of our early brainstorming sessions, we stumbled upon a Gray Malin photograph of Bondi Beach. It was bursting with vibrant umbrellas and striped towels, all arranged in a beautifully chaotic way. That photo instantly inspired the aesthetic for Playa: a playful mix of stripes, unexpected color combos, and the effortless beauty of a sunny day.
As we’ve been planning intentionally for what’s ahead in 2025, we’ve also been navigating some unexpected challenges… cough, cough tariffs and the increasingly unpredictable world of manufacturing and importing. These challenges have significantly impacted our production and timelines. As a result, a few key Playa pieces will have limited stock and, unfortunately, won’t be restocked this summer—including the red disc necklace Zoey and the yellow Joule necklace and bracelet.
In full transparency, several pieces originally planned for this collection didn’t make it due to unexpected manufacturing and shipping delays. We also ran into an issue with the clasp on the red disc necklace known as Zoey, which meant many of those pieces couldn’t be included. This is why that piece will not be restocked.
That said, despite the manufacturing mishaps, we also had so many wins—like the yellow evil eye, Joule. The moment we saw it, we knew she belonged in this collection. And the pearl charm? It’s something we’ve been wanting to do for months, and when it arrived, we both agreed it was even better in person. It’s simple, but something you can truly style countless ways.
We’ve had quite a few sleepless nights and hard conversations behind the scenes trying to bring this collection to life. But through it all, we’re choosing trust—trust in the brand we’ve built, in the community that continues to show up for us, and in the belief that even through setbacks, we’re moving forward to bring you our best collections yet.
