It’s hard to believe we’re coming up on six years of Allie + Bess. What started as a friendship working side by side in therapy somehow turned into weddings, babies… and then a business venture.
When we “started” Allie + Bess, we didn’t even realize we were starting Allie + Bess. We took orders through DMs, “cold called” influencers, hand-delivered product all over town, stood awkwardly with our hands in our pockets snapping pics of each other, and spent countless days and nights around a dining table beading every single bracelet by hand. Some of our favorite (and funniest) memories still come from those tables.
What began as a hobby quickly became something we were both deeply invested in. Not just because of the product, though we’re incredibly proud of our quality, but because of the community we were building. Early on, we realized that when we showed up authentically, sharing the silly moments, the big wins, and the not-so-pretty parts, y’all showed up right alongside us.
We learned your names, your stories, and little pieces of your lives. We’ve never wanted this to be just about selling you a product; we want to know you. You’ve cheered us on, and we’ve loved cheering for you too!
No words will ever fully capture what this company means to us. It made us family. It’s brought dear friendships into our lives. It’s made us believe in ourselves, it’s shown us how strong, capable and resilient we are, and introduced us to versions of ourselves we didn’t know existed.
Our goal has always been to help you feel more confident, but in return, you’ve given us the confidence to show up exactly as we are. And for that, we are endlessly grateful.
Here’s to six years! And to all the beautiful, messy, exciting years still ahead.
