Some collections just feel personal—and this one? It’s as personal as it gets. We teamed up with content creator, mama of three, and longtime A+B friend Catherine Martin for a stack that blends meaning, memory, and everyday magic. Catherine brings heart, humor, and a whole lot of style to everything she does, and her newest collab with us is no exception.
What inspired your collection with Allie + Bess?
“Easy—my kiddos… and the fall stack I couldn’t stop wearing last year.”
In the Martin household, color means connection. Everyone has their own color. Kaiser is pink, Mary Catherine is blue, and James is green. (Yes—those are her kids!) It started as a way to keep things organized when they were little—no more “whose cup is this?” moments—and turned into a family trademark. Calendars, birthday balloons, toy bins—you name it, it’s color-coded. Those three hues eventually made their way into Catherine’s home decor, wardrobe, and now, this collection.
“They’ve just become our thing,” she says. “You’ll see pink, blue, and green all over our house—and in my closet too. The best part? They go with everything. I like to think of them as the ultimate mix-and-match neutral.”
What made you want to collaborate with Allie + Bess?
“For me, everything is relationship-driven, and this was no different. Allie and Bess felt like friends from the moment we met. Our first collab was so much fun and such an honor—but once I really got to know them, I couldn’t say yes fast enough to doing more together.”
“It’s rare to find women in business who you can be real with, pray with, and genuinely enjoy spending time with—while still getting the work done. They’re the real deal.”
What’s your favorite way to wear your Allie + Bess pieces?
“My favorite way? Easy—just put them on.”
“There’s rarely a day I’m not wearing something from Allie + Bess. Athleisure? Always better with an arm stack. Loungewear? Give me the dainty bangles. Formal affair? Let’s pack a punch with a statement piece. These pieces flex with your day—and your life.”
Any styling tips you swear by?
Catherine’s go-to rules for getting dressed:
-
If it mixes, it matches—don’t overthink it.
-
Comfort counts. If you can’t live in it, don’t keep it.
-
Neutrals aren’t just beige. Pink, blue, and green are my neutrals.
-
Dress for the life you actually live. School drop-off counts.
-
Accessories are outfit magic. One great stack can transform your whole look.
-
Price-per-wear is real. The best pieces earn their keep.
-
Confidence is the best thing you can put on. Period.
What’s your current favorite jewelry accessory?
“Right now, I’m all about a bold arm stack. It works with everything—errands, date night, even chasing kids around the house—and somehow makes me look more pulled together than I actually am. Go scroll my IG and tell me I’m wrong—ha!”
Are you more of a color lover or a neutrals + metals girl?
“Can I say both? Do I love color? Absolutely—have you met me? But I also love a good neutral moment. And yes, pink, blue, and green can totally be neutrals. Add in a bold gold (or silver, if that’s your thing), and you’re set.”
As Catherine says, quoting Iris Apfel: “More is more, and less is a bore.”
Our theme this year is ‘Living in Color.’ How do you live in color?
“It’s about choosing joy—even on the messy days. It’s about training your eyes to find something beautiful in the ordinary. The flowers on your kitchen counter. The sunlight through your window. The laughter at your cluttered dinner table.”
“It’s wearing the statement Linden earrings on a Tuesday. Saying yes to the fun shoes, just because. Refusing to save the good stuff for ‘special occasions.’ Life isn’t black and white—and I don’t think your closet should be either.”
Who do you imagine wearing your Allie + Bess collection?
“Honestly? You. The woman doing it all. The one running from work to carpool to dinner. The one who wants to feel like herself—but a little elevated.”
“These pieces are for the real MVPs. The ones who need style that keeps up. That works just as well at school drop-off as it does at date night. The kind of jewelry that gets compliments in the Starbucks line and holds meaning when you look down at your wrist. It’s for you, your sister, your best friend’s friend, and your daughter’s teacher. It’s for all of us.”
