Allie and I always laugh because the holidays, much like life, aren’t just one thing. They’re layered and full of personality, which is exactly why we’ve always done two holiday collections. Each one captures a different mood but shares the same goal, to make you feel your best. This year is no different. One collection is bold and playful, and the other is timeless and classic. I’ll wear something bright and sparkly to a holiday party and then reach for something classic and meaningful on Christmas Eve. Electric Avenue is for the party girl at heart. Think of it like your great aunt’s holiday party that’s a little wild but absolutely fabulous. I always picture my cousin Nina, she’s dressed in polka dots with a feathered boa in some bright color, music playing, candles flickering, and the energy is just contagious. That’s the spirit of Electric Avenue. It’s inspired by Christmas lights, disco balls, and that unmistakable buzz of the season. For me, it’s not Christmas until I’m baking my grandmother’s famous sugar cookies with my mom, aunt, and cousins, or hearing those same familiar verses in church on Christmas Eve. That’s what inspired our second collection, Home for the Holidays. It’s full of deep reds, greens, golds, pearls, and bone beads. The pieces feel nostalgic and elegant, like heirloom ornaments you unwrap every December. When I wear them, I instantly feel that warmth of home. They layer beautifully with meaningful jewelry, like my grandmother’s pearls or something Paul has given me over the years. These are pieces you’ll keep for seasons to come. Designing both collections at the same time was such a ride. Picture this: on our big white design table, we had neon vinyls right next to strands of pearls and gold. Total chaos. Total magic. We start every collection with a theme and a mood board, and then we play, moving beads around until the story starts to unfold. Seeing Electric Avenue and Home for the Holidays come to life side by side reminded us just how creative and diverse our community really is. It pushed us to think about all the ways people celebrate, each with their own kind of joy.
